One of the best parts of serving as County Clerk is having opportunities to connect with our community’s young people. This week we had the pleasure of welcoming kindergarten through 6th-grade students participating in the Library Summer Reading Program to the Courthouse, where we talked about elections, voting, and why every vote matters. The students were engaged, curious, and eager to learn about how citizens participate in local, state, and national elections. Thank you to the library for organizing these visits! We enjoyed spending time with these future voters!
“Who knows? We may have met some future election officials, community leaders, and voters this week!”😃
