Over the years, Cynthia has worn many hats, from Cashier and Billing Representative, Billing Specialist, to Member Service Representative, and so much more in between. She has been a familiar and welcoming face to our members, a helping hand to her coworkers, and a huge part of the NPEC family for more than two decades.

Her dedication, knowledge, and willingness to serve have made a lasting impact on our cooperative and the people we serve.

While we’re definitely going to miss her around the office, we’re excited for Cynthia as she begins this next chapter!

Thank you for 21 years and 7 months of dedication, hard work, and memories. Your NPEC family wishes you nothing but the very best in retirement! 💜

We have everything restored in response to our emergency power outage this morning. We had 14 distribution poles and one 115kV transmission pole go down due to the storms that came through. Our Operations crews were able to isolate everything and get as much on as possible until we had to de-energize our 115kV line to replace the transmission pole. We attempted a mass outage text message this morning, but due to a processing error, it did not go through. We were able to get everything restored around 5:30 this afternoon & our mass texting capability processed correctly.

If you are still out of power, please call the office at 806-435-5482 so we can send someone out to help you. We know 100+ degree temperatures are never ideal to have an outage, but please know our guys started the day at 4:30 this morning and worked continuously through the day to get you restored.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding!

4:45 pm - update
This was a planned outage, but unfortunately, the timing was not something we had much flexibility with. It should have been labeled as an EMERGENCY OUTAGE.

A pole on our 115 kV transmission line is down and requires immediate attention to safely make the necessary repairs. The power had to be shut off in order for crews to work safely and complete the replacement.
The need for the repair itself was unexpected and unavoidable. Our goal is to get the work completed as quickly and safely as possible and restore power.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
