Important dates to remember for the August 4 Primary Election

🗳️ Absentee Voting for the August 4, 2026 Primary Election in Perry County begins tomorrow, Tuesday, June 23 at 8:00 a.m.

Absentee voting will remain open through Monday, August 3 at 5:00 p.m.

Voters may cast an absentee ballot in person at the Perry County Clerk’s Office, located in the Perry County Courthouse:
15 W. Ste. Maries St., Suite 2
Perryville, MO 63775

Office Hours for In-Person Absentee Voting:
Monday–Friday
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

📢 Office Closure Notice

The Perry County Administrative Offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

Regular office hours will resume on Monday, June 22.

As temperatures are expected to soar this week, this is a reminder to our residents the Perry Park Center is available, during normal business hours, as a cooling center due to the extreme heat.

The Perry County Commission is accepting applications to fill a Commission-appointed position on the Perry County Health Department Board of Trustees following the resignation of board member Gwen Schweiss on Thursday, June 4.

In accordance with Missouri State Statute 205.170.6, which states ”any vacancy in the board of trustees occasioned by removal, resignation or otherwise shall be reported to the county commission and be filled in like manner as original appointments, the appointee to hold office until the next following municipal election, when such vacancy shall be filled by election of a trustee to serve during the remainder of the term of his predecessor,” the Perry County Commission will appoint an individual to serve the remainder of the current term until the next General Municipal Election, scheduled for April 7, 2027.

Individuals interested in serving their community through this important public service role are encouraged to apply. The application period will remain open until June 30, 2026.

Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Perry County Health Department Board of Trustees oversees the governance and operation of the Perry County Health Department - Missouri and plays an important role in ensuring a variety of healthcare services for the community. Board meetings are typically held the third Tuesday of every month at 9 a.m. Once every six months, the meeting is held at 6 pm. The elected board terms are 4 years.

The Perry County Clerk's Office would like to remind voters that there have been updates to polling locations serving the Highland and Belgique Sereno areas.

If you vote in either of these precincts, please take a moment to review the changes before Election Day to ensure you know where to cast your ballot. Changes in precinct locations will be in effect for the August Primary Election.

UPDATE 9:00 a.m. : Power has been restored for all county buildings.

The Perry County Courthouse is currently without electricity, limiting our ability to access records and offer a wide range of services due to no computer access. The Perry County Commission will hold their standing 9 a.m meeting today in the Commission Chambers

Their courage, selflessness, and devotion to freedom have protected the liberties we enjoy every day. Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer. It is a solemn reminder that freedom is never free.

We encourage all Perry County residents to take a moment this weekend to reflect on the sacrifices made by our fallen heroes and the families they left behind. Whether attending a ceremony, visiting a memorial, flying the American flag, or simply sharing stories of loved ones who served, may we never forget those who gave everything for our country.
