After a successful authorization card drive over the winter of 2011, the workers at the IKEA Perryville Distribution Center located in Perryville, MD elected to have the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (The "IAM" or "Machinists") represent them. The IAM currently administers 5,000 Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs) for its members working in government, as well as the aerospace, and transportation industries. Major employers of IAM members include almost all of the major airlines, Armstrong Industries, Invensys, Harley-Davidson, Merck, Rockwell, and Hudson General to name a few. In addition to traditional manufacturing work, the IAM administers CBAs in municipalities across the US and Canada representing working men and women throughout your communities.
