Severe weather is looking possible overnight.

A line of storms is expected to develop northwest of Arkansas and move southeast toward the state later tonight.

Storms are expected to weaken as they move into Arkansas overnight. However, as they enter western Arkansas, they may still have some instability to work with, so we cannot completely rule out a few strong to severe storms.

Right now, most model guidance brings this activity into Arkansas after midnight, early Wednesday morning.

There are still some inconsistencies with the models, so confidence in the exact timing is a little lower than the last system we dealt with.

The main concern would be damaging winds. The tornado risk is very low, but not zero.

We are watching this closely, so please make sure you have a way to receive warnings overnight, including downloading our app.

Very similar to what we saw this morning, it looks like another storm complex will blow through here late Tuesday night into early Wednesday.

We’ll know more details as we close in on tomorrow evening.

This cluster of storms will form in Kansas and looks to track into Arkansas before falling apart Wednesday morning!

Some severe weather is possible once again.

06/22/2026

An additional round of strong to severe thunderstorms is possible across portions of Arkansas Tuesday evening into Tuesday night. The area of greatest concern is across the western half of Arkansas. Damaging winds will be the main threat.
