LAST WEEK THE PERTH AMBOY CITY COUNCIL MET AND ONCE AGAIN FAILED TO PASS A MUNICIPAL BUDGET. NJ law required that Mayor Caba's City Council introduce the budget to the public at a meeting by March 31st. They failed to do so then and have failed to pass an annual budget at every meeting that they have held since. Instead, they continue to vote on temporary emergency appropriations in order to keep the City government funded until the introduce the annual budget.

What are Caba and his Council hiding? What's so important that they would rather pay fines and continue to violate the law? Why doesn't the Council want YOU to see the budget until AFTER the election?? Is there a massive tax hike coming? Cuts in municipal services? Lay offs of City Employees? All of the above? Perth Amboy deserves transparency and answers!!

Vote for Kenneth Gonzalez, Junior Iglesia, and Lisa Nanton for City Council!! End Mayor Caba's misadministration and incompetence!! New leadership for the City Council has never been more important for Perth Amboy than right now!!

LA SEMANA PASADA, EL CONCEJO MUNICIPAL DE PERTH AMBOY se reunió y, una vez más, no logró aprobar un presupuesto municipal. La ley de Nueva Jersey exigía que el Concejo del alcalde Caba presentara el presupuesto ante el público en una reunión a más tardar el 31 de marzo. No cumplieron con ese plazo en aquel entonces y han fracasado en aprobar un presupuesto anual en cada una de las reuniones que han celebrado desde entonces. En su lugar, continúan votando a favor de asignaciones de emergencia temporales con el fin de mantener financiado al gobierno de la ciudad hasta que presenten el presupuesto anual.

¿Qué están ocultando Caba y su Concejo? ¿Qué es tan importante como para que prefieran pagar multas y seguir violando la ley? ¿Por qué el Concejo no quiere que USTED vea el presupuesto hasta DESPUÉS de las elecciones? ¿Se avecina un aumento masivo de impuestos? ¿Recortes en los servicios municipales? ¿Despidos de empleados de la ciudad? ¿Todo lo anterior? ¡¡Perth Amboy merece transparencia y respuestas!!

Yesterday the United Democrats For Perth Amboy team spent lunch at the Saint Demetrios Greek Festival!! The food, the music, the dancing, the costumes and the whole vibe were wonderful!! We are so lucky to have this event every year in Perth Amboy!!
