Following the precipitation events across Mississinewa Lake's watershed, the lake rose 27.39ft to 764.39 above mean sea level. That water was held in the lake to reduce the risk of downstream flooding along the Wabash River in towns such as Peru, Logansport, and Lafayette. Now that the river levels have fallen, our lakes are able to release some of their water to bring the pool level back down towards summer pool. Today, Mississinewa Lake is releasing 5,626 cubic feet per second (cfs). If you are visiting the area please follow posted signage, do not enter closed off areas, and do not stop/park on the dam.

🌧️ High water, hard work! Mississinewa Lake Team Tackles High Water to Recover Drifted Buoys

Following recent heavy rainfall, Mississinewa Lake staff and Operations Safety successfully recovered several buoys that had drifted more than a mile from the dam tower.

At the time of the operation, lake elevation had risen to 763.91 feet — nearly 27 feet above the normal summer pool.

A big thank you to the teams working safely and diligently to keep Mississinewa Lake operations running smoothly! 💪🌊
