Heads up! There is a 60% chance that a watch will be needed for our forecast area this afternoon! (probably a Severe Thunderstorm Watch as opposed to a Tornado Watch) ⛈️

Storms are expected to develop ahead of the cold front and pose a hail/damaging wind risk. A brief, isolated tornado or two is possible, however, the main threat will be damaging winds 60-70 mph.

There is a Slight Risk (level 2 out of 5) for strong to severe thunderstorms late Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening. Damaging wind gusts will be the main threat. Hail up to 1” in diameter, isolated tornadoes, and heavy rain are also possible.
