Here is a list of Miami County Road Closures at this time: Please avoid these areas..

450 E between SR 16 and 1100 N-Closed to everyone
700 E and 850 S for high water- closed to everyone
1100 S and 1050 E for high water- closed to everyone
500 S between US 31 and 400 W - closed to everyone
400 W between 400 S and 500 S is closed to everyone but emergency crews.

State Road 218 closed due to washout

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. - The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of State Road 218 due to a washout.

A portion of ground underneath S.R. 218 has been washed away by flooding between State Road 19 and U.S. 31.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek an alternate route until further notice.

If you encounter high water while traveling, do not attempt to continue driving. Always turn around to find an alternate route. Find the latest updates on road closures and conditions from INDOT at 511in.org and report flooded roadways or other concerns at indot4u.com.

State Police and County Officials are urging everyone to STAY OFF THE ROADS at this time. Roads throughout the area are experiencing severe flooding, creating extremely dangerous and potentially life-threatening driving conditions.

Please do not attempt to drive through flooded roadways. Turn around, don’t drown.

If you do not need to be on the road, please stay home and stay safe.
