What a great surprise on this Monday morning!

Over the past three years, GAF has worked incredibly hard to build the best team, create a positive culture, produce high-quality commercial roofing materials, and continue building strong relationships within our community. One of their greatest accomplishments has been partnering with local non-profits and volunteering throughout the community — something that has become extremely meaningful to their entire team.

Through the GAF Community Matters Program, they continue striving to build resilient communities through families, workforces, and shelters. Their commitment to supporting local non-profit organizations that make a positive impact in Peru and the surrounding areas truly shows their dedication to our community.

As part of their ongoing campaign to stay involved and connected within the community, GAF was once again able to make generous donations this year. We at the Peru Police Department are very fortunate and grateful for their generous support and for having GAF as part of our community.

Thank you, GAF, for your continued support of the Peru Police Department and the Peru community! 👏💙

This week is National Public Works Week.

A lot of people don’t realize how much goes on behind the scenes to keep a town running until something stops working. Roads, water, sewer, snow removal, storms, parks, emergencies… public works is usually there before anyone notices and long after everyone else has gone home.

The Peru Police Department is proud to work alongside our dedicated public works crew who put in the hours, work in every kind of weather, and take pride in serving their communities every single day.

It’s not always glamorous work, but it matters far more than most people realize.

Thank you to all public works employees here in Peru and for everything you do to keep our communities safe, running, and moving forward.
