2020 Road Construction/Bridge Project to begin on Wednesday, May 20th.
Tower Hill Rd Bridge Replacement:
The Tower Hill Bridge on Tower Hill Road going over the Little Peshtigo River near Townline Rd will be closed with a “Bridge Out” status starting this Wednesday, May 20th. The bridge replacement is expected to be complete by mid July if the project stays on schedule. Tower Hill Rd will be closed for the duration of this project from Townline Rd to Wiedemier Ln. This project has been in the planning stage since 2017.
Townline Rd - Phase 3 (Tower Hill Rd to 64):
Phase 3, the final phase of the 3 year joint Townline Rd project with the Town of Pound, will begin Wednesday, May 20th with the addition of gravel to the widened road base. This will be followed by pulverization, and additional base work prior to the road being paved with hot mix asphalt. If all goes as planned this project will be completed by the end of July.
Leslie Rd - Raby Ln - Kushman Ln:
Leslie Rd, Raby Ln, and Kushman Ln will have base work prep as needed and a double chip seal application applied. This project will likely begin in late July or early August. These roads may be intermittently restricted for travel when the work is being done.
Behnke School Rd (Cty M to Murach Rd):
Behnke School Rd in this section will have two culverts replaced as they are failing, followed by a wedge and chip seal application and updated shouldering. This will likely begin in late July or early August.
Payne School Rd:
Payne School Rd, from Behnke School Rd to the east for 1.07 miles toward Cty W, will have three culverts replaced, and one culvert modified in preparation for re-construction in the 2021 road construction season. One of the culverts on this stretch of roadway is 20’ deep under the road surface, and 60’ wide. This project will be done sometime in late June or early July and a two day road closure is expected.
Please use this information to plan your travels. As always, watch for signs/cones/trucks indicating construction, road work, or travel advisories and follow accordingly. This will help the projects to stay on schedule and keep the workers safe.

The Town of Grover is investigating multiple locations of tires being dumped over the weekend. Please see the photographs. The truck was described as a “jacked up” charcoal gray or black truck with wide tires. The trailer appears to be a blue or gray enclosed car type trailer with the words “RamPoh” or “RamPow” or “RuhRow” and the number 44 with an animal next to the number on the rear of the trailer. You can post in our comments section or remain anonymous by messaging our FB page. Looking to identify. Thank You.

These are strange times we are currently experiencing, and this was an odd lead up to an election for sure. That being said everything ran like a well oiled machine today because of the forethought and time invested by our Town Clerk, Lisa Witak. Thank You Lisa, we appreciate the great job you do for our town.

This Fall Harvest Season is surely proving to be a stressful one for our farmers. Please be understanding and know that there will be more than usual mud and material coming out of the field with them, and onto the roadway. Our farmers are taking proactive measures to stay ahead of road clean up as much as possible.
Please also take the extra time if you find yourself behind a piece of farm equipment; take in the fall colors, enjoy a breath of fresh fall air, check out the deer, turkeys or livestock as you pass them by at a slower speed than usual, but most of all drive safe.
Farmers are pivotal members of not only our local community, but our country as a whole. Together let’s continue to make this a safe fall harvest.
