A new school year is here, and so is mental health support for our students and families.

Through our partnership with Cartwheel, families have access to individual teletherapy for students in grades 3+, parent and caregiver guidance, and more — appointments are available within days, with no waitlists. Care is available in multiple languages and is free with Medicaid.

Camp Bird Appreciation Day Schedule of Events!

We are so excited for Camp Bird Appreciation Day on Saturday, September 19th! Whether you’re coming for the cinnamon rolls at 10:00 AM, the hot dog and brat cookout starting at 11:00 AM, guided tours of the camp, or guest speakers at 12:30 PM, we have a fun-filled day planned for the whole family! Marshmallow roasting by the beach kicks off at 2:00 PM!

🚗 PELC CAR RIDER FAMILIES - WE’RE GETTING A NEW LOOK! 🚗

This year, we are replacing our parent window clings with new Car Rider Tags that will hang from your vehicle’s rearview mirror!

A few things to know:

🔹Please use your CURRENT window cling on the first day of school. Mandatory use for new tags will start on 9/8/2026

🔹New Car Rider Tags will be sent home with students

🔹 Each car rider family will receive 2 FREE Car Rider Tags

🔹 Additional Car Rider Tags may be purchased for $2 each

Once you receive your new tags, simply hang your tag from your rearview mirror during pickup and make sure the number is clearly visible to our staff.

We hope this new system will make numbers easier for our staff to see and help keep our PELC Car Rider Line safe, organized, and moving smoothly! 🚙💨
