Village of Pesotum A great community south of Champaign! The village board meets regularly on the first Wednesday of every month. All ages are welcome.

If you have information you would like to share about activities and events happening in Pesotum and our surrounding area, please share with the page admin via messenger. Pesotum is home to many friendly residents as well as a community building, Hartman Park, a bed & breakfast, post office, American Legion, a fire station and Route 45 Wayside, the local watering hole. If you have concerns please

attend a meeting or contact a village trustee. Throughout the year, the Village will host community events such as the halloween SPOOKTACKULAR, the community garage sales, a clean up day, and days at the park. If you are interested in helping or are a local organization interested in co-sponsoring an event send us a message!

It's going to be a busy weekend at Hartman Park! Be sure to stop by both Saturday and Sunday!!

Saturday from 11-1:00 pm join the Tolono Public Library for Summer Saturdays at the Park!

Sunday from 2-4:00 pm join us for a Playdate in the Park!

Sunday, June 14th is our first Playdate in the Park!! We will have all of the fun games from Backyard Bash Rentals.....Cornhole, Giant Connect 4, Giant Yahtzee, Jumbo Cup Pong, Giant Uno, Ladder Toss, Giant Plinko, & Giant Jenga!! I don't even know which game to play first!! It is going to be a fun afternoon in the park! Come on out from 2-4 pm! Hope to see you there!!

We have some fun things planned this summer at Hartman Park!!

June 14th 2-4 pm - Playdate in the Park
We will have several games from Backyard Bash Rentals for the kids and adults to play! Snacks & beverages will be provided. Note: if this goes well, more will be planned!

July 18th 2-4 pm - Water Day in the Park
All sorts of water fun! Bring the sunscreen and a towel, because you will get wet! We will have a giant water slide from Bounce Squad Party Rental. Snacks & beverages will be provided.

August 7th 8:00 pm - Movie Night in the Park
Bring a chair, a big blanket or whatever you want to sit on to watch a family friendly movie (still yet to be determined). A fun evening of watching a movie under the stars! Snacks & beverages will be provided.

We hope to see you all at these events! I can't think of a better way to interact with our community! Please note, this is not going to be a babysitting service. If the child isn't old enough to drive or ride their bike to the park on their own, then an adult should be with them. We want this to be fun for all ages!!

PESOTUM’S COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP DAY
Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to Noon.
Bring your items to the Train Depot area.
This event is for Pesotum residents only
(proof of residency may be required).
Items not allowed: tires, oil-based paints,
electronics, or anything with oil in it.

Tonight's regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees is canceled due to the inability to obtain a quorum. We will post when it is rescheduled.

Due to being unable to make quorum, tonight’s study session has been canceled. The next village board meeting will be February 4th at 6:30pm.
