Good afternoon,
Not much has changed this afternoon on the thoughts for severe weather tomorrow other than timing. Our area is now expected to see severe storms from noon until 5pm tomorrow. These storms are likely to bring damaging winds 60-70mph, hail, and tornadoes. If Forrest County is placed under a watch, the Safe Room located at 946 Sullivan Drive will be opened. Next update will be Wednesday morning. As always please feel free to reach out this any questions.

We are sad to announce the passing of long time Runnelstown Volunteer Fire Department Chief Brian Meeler. Chief Meeler was a faithful and dedicated servant to the citizens of Runnelstown and Perry County throughout his many years of service as a volunteer fireman. His commitment and service will not be forgotten.

Please keep his wife, children, family and friends in your thoughts and prayers as they endure this time of loss.

Today, firefighters from the Sunrise Volunteer Fire Department along with firefighters from Carnes, North Forrest, and Macedonia Volunteer Fire Departments in Forrest County made the trip to Magee to pay our final respects to a fallen firefighter.

Firefighters attended the funeral services in Magee, MS for fallen firefighter Phillip Allen, who was tragic killed while working a motor vehicle collision on US Hwy 49 in Covington County this past week.

Fire departments from around the state attended the services and participated in one final ride through Magee past the Magee Fire Department and onto his final resting place.

Rest easy brother. Weโ€™ll take it from here.
