We are currently accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the Petersburg Compensation Commission. The Commission meets once every two years to recommend changes to the pay rates of elected officials within the city. Please stop by the clerk's office or send us an email at [email protected] with any questions or to request an application. Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, September 16th.

We currently have an opening on the City Planning Commission and are seeking residents who are interested in serving for a 3-year term. The Commission currently meets every other month and aims to help direct the growth of our community. Just a reminder that the city curfew for persons under 16 is 10:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and, for 16 and 17-year-olds, midnight to 6:00 a.m., unless the minor is accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult chaperone.

Good news! Water/sewer customers are now able to pay online! Go to petersburgmi.gov and click on Pay Bills. There is a small processing fee for credit/debit cards. Any questions, please call the City office at 279-1210.

The weather is warming up and the golf carts are coming out! Please remember that all operators MUST be licensed drivers, which means at least 16 years old. If you would not entrust someone with the keys to your car, please do not allow them access to your golf cart.

Spring Clean Up & Shred Day is Saturday, April 25 from 8am-12pm. Clean up is held at Stevens Disposal on Ida West Road while the shredding takes place in the City parking lot on Center Street. Please see below for Clean Up guidelines. Documents with paper clips, staples and file folders are acceptable for shredding, just no rubber bands or cardboard.
