🚗 There is NO PARKING in the alley so please find parking elsewhere and come through the bar or walk down the alley

It wouldn't be spring without a little rain this morning, but chances for precipitation greatly decline throughout the day so come Visit Menard County & Explore Petersburg! Walk around and show some love to all the shops, boutiques and businesses on the square!!

Starting tomorrow, March 18th, our hours of operation will be extended by one hour. Our friends Railsplitter Gifts and Eatery will also be opening for the season.

For the next two weeks, Fireside Chats will be conducted daily at 1:00 PM, from Tuesday through Saturday.

The Menard County Tourism Council has its annual meeting on November 21, 2024 at 6pm at Broadgauge. This is a great opportunity to become a member and join us in promoting all that Menard County has to offer visitors and residents alike! Membership is $25 annually, and can be brought to the meeting or mailed to P.O. Box 531, Petersburg IL 62675. Checks should be made out to Menard County Tourism Council.

At the annual meeting we will elect up to three new board members to fill upcoming vacancies. Please consider joining the Menard County Tourism Council as a member, or board member!

Visit Menard County and all it has to offer from restaurants and boutiques, the beautiful Lincoln's New Salem State Park, two great golf courses, two wineries, a award winning brewery, and much much more!

This Sat (9/21) will be Harvestfest Petersburg, Illinois!

This year's activities include a Parade, Pro Wresting on the Square, a Kids Zone, Petting Zoo, and live entertainment including a magician, local favorites MK and Damian, and The Isaiah Christian Band.

There will be tons of unique vendors across the square.

There will be tons of entertainment Under the The Tent and On the Mat!

Pro Wrestling on the Square starts at 5:30pm. The Isaiah Christian Band closes us out for the night starting at 8pm.

Check out the flyers for a full schedule of events. It should be a great day!

If one day is not enough, join us on Sunday for Oktoberfest on the Square!

The 43rd Annual Traditional Music Festival and Bluegrass Concerts are only a few days away! The concerts are on Friday and Saturday night and the music festival is in the historic village from 10am to 4pm on Saturday.

Here are some helpful tips to some frequently asked questions:
▪️The entire event (music festival and concerts) are free of charge! We do accept donations in the Visitor Center.
▪️No tickets are needed.
▪️Concessions will be open on both nights of the concerts.
▪️The concert starts promptly at 6pm and will conclude by 10pm each night.
▪️The campground does fill up during this time as many of our musicians are traveling from all over the Midwest. If you are staying in the campground, you may hear the sweet sounds of music late into the night/early morning. 🪕 🎻🪕

We could potentially take another group playing on Friday night if interested!
