The Tri-Cities Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (TCAMPO) asks citizens to review and comment on the Draft Regional Conformity Report. Local and State agencies represented on the Tri-Cities Area MPO developed the draft document, which recommends highway and transit improvements for the Tri-Cities Area. Copies of these draft documents are available online athttps://craterpdc.org/wp-content/uploads/Draft-RCA-Richmond-Area-Amended-FY27-30-TIP-and-2050-LRTPv3-for-Public-Review.pdf and hard copies are available for viewing at the Petersburg Planning Office at 135 N Union Street, Suite 304. The public comment period will end on September 16.

Traffic Alert: Lane Closure on I‑85 and I‑95 North Ramp to East Washington and East Wythe Streets in Petersburg
Motorists should expect a left lane closure and traffic shift on the ramp from I‑85 and I‑95 north to East Washington Street and East Wythe Street starting at 7 p.m. on August 28 through 7 a.m. on August 31. Traffic will be shifted to the right lane to maintain access to East Washington Street and East Wythe Street.

The City of Petersburg Office of Recreation, in partnership with Dogwood Trace Golf Course and First Tee – Greater Richmond, is excited to offer FREE golf classes for City of Petersburg youth!

Participants will learn the fundamentals of golf while building confidence, developing new skills, making friends, and having fun. All skill levels are welcome—no previous golf experience is required.

SAVE THE DATE FOR City of Petersburg Gateway Justice Services 3rd annual Celebrating Recovery & Saving Lives event on Wednesday, September 23, from 10 am - 3 pm at Petersburg Public Library.

This free event will feature keynote speaker Alethea Lambert who will share lived experience and a message of hope.

This event is held to celebrate and support those on their recovery journey as well as for loved ones seeking resources to help someone struggling with substance use dependence. All are welcome.

OCR Community Empowerment Group are inviting you to join them for their Invasive Species Stewardship Day and Community Cleanup on Saturday, August 29th at Rotary Park on Pocahontas Island.

A small team will assist with invasive plant treatment, while most volunteers will help with cleanup along the Pocahontas Island trail area.
