There will be judge retention questions on the ballot in November. Take the time and do your own research on these before you vote this fall.
1. Shall Judge Mary A. DeBoer be retained in office in the Fourth District?
2. Shall Judge Paul A. Felix be retained in office in the Fifth District?
3. Shall Judge Justin L. McAdam be retained in office of the Indiana Tax Court?

Opinions from Indiana Supreme Court, Appellate Court ( #1 & 2), and Tax Court ( #3) can be found at https://www.in.gov/courts/public-records/appellate-decisions
You are not required to select an option on these questions but if you choose to do so, do your research to vote confidently! Poll workers are not allowed to assist the voter with making a decision or providing information to reach a decision.

There are 2 questions on the ballot this fall pertaining to Ratifications of the State Constitutional Amendments. Please read through these and take your time doing your own research so you are ready to vote on them this fall.

1. Currently, under the Constitution of the State of Indiana, a person charged with murder or treason is not entitled to be released on bail if the proof is evident or the presumption strong. Shall the Constitution of the State of Indiana be amended to provide that a person charged with an offense other than murder or treason is not entitled to bail if: (1) the proof is evident or the presumption strong; and (2) the state proves by clear and convincing evidence that no release conditions will reasonably protect the safety of any other person or the community. (This question concerns Article 1, Section 17 of the Constitution of the State of Indiana.)

2. Shall the Constitution of the State of Indiana be amended to permit the judge of a city or town court to reside in: (1) the county in which the court is located; or (2) the bordering county closest to the city or town in which the court is located? (This question concerns Article 6, Section 6 of the Constitution of the State of Indiana.)

We do not have any city or town courts in Pike County, but these questions will be on every ballot in the state of Indiana since it effects the constitution. As with anything else on the ballot, the poll workers cannot assist you in any way with answering these questions.
Of course, you can skip them if you choose to do so.
