Work has commenced at the sanctuary, and we're thrilled to partner with A.Burdick Excavating once again to bring this vision to life. As we clear the land and craft new pathways, we're creating opportunities for the community to connect with nature and explore the sanctuary's full potential.

We call our parrot house the “nut house” for a reason. The cockatoos especially are our clowns and loving putting on a show. Though cockatoos are fun loving and funny they are also a lot of care and have very specific needs. Each bird here at the sanctuary has its own unique personality and character that makes them special.

These babies are loving the sunshine ☀️
Here are some inspiring facts about emus that might surprise you!

Emus can reach speeds of up to 31 MPH.

As the second tallest bird species globally, surpassed only by ostriches.

With a natural affinity for water, emus enjoy themselves through daily baths and soaks.

After the female emu lays her eggs, the male emu showcases extraordinary dedication, incubating them for eight weeks while abstaining from food and water.
