🚨 PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICE 🚨

The water levels in our area are still rising quickly. We ask all town residents—especially those living near creeks, rivers, streams, or low-lying areas—to remain alert and aware of your surroundings.

Please monitor conditions closely, avoid flooded areas, and do not attempt to drive or walk through moving water. Conditions can change rapidly, and what appears safe may not be.

If you notice dangerous conditions or rising water threatening homes or roadways, please report it through the appropriate channels. In an emergency, call 911.

Your safety is our top priority. Please stay informed and take precautions.

🚨 Winter Weather Advisory 🚨

Due to the severe winter weather expected this weekend, response times may be delayed, and in some cases access to certain areas may be limited or unsafe. Please understand that road conditions, visibility, and safety concerns can impact how quickly—or if—we are able to reach you.

Our firefighters and first responders will continue to do everything possible to respond safely and effectively to all emergencies. We ask the community to please be patient and mindful during this time, and to take extra precautions to stay safe.

If possible, avoid unnecessary travel, keep roadways clear for emergency vehicles, and plan ahead for the weather conditions.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work through these conditions together. Stay safe. ❄️🚒

  - Lieutenant Caanan Brock

Due to the predicted winter weather event for this weekend Morgan County EMS may have to go on Emergency Status due to the road conditions. We hope everyone stays home and safe. We are still here and will respond to Emergencies but there may be delays in response due to hazardous road conditions. If so please be patience as we will get to you as soon as possible.

Chief Dennis Brock is traveling today in Ohio with Chief Neil Noe of the Morgan County Volunteer Rescue Squad to help bring home some new equipment for the squad. They ran into Stipe Miocic this morning Stipe is a former two time UFC champion of the world. Consider to be one of the greatest in UFC history. Stipe is now a full time firefighter and paramedic. How cool is that.
