What a time to be a Pirate! Your PHS Varsity Baseball team is STATE BOUND!

Your Pirates are officially headed to the WIAA State Tournament! Lined by Pirate fans, Summer School students, and escorted by local police and fire departments, the team received an unforgettable send-off before making the trip to Grand Chute and Fox Cities Stadium.

As the No. 1 seed in Division 2, Pewaukee (28-2) will face No. 4 seed Somerset (20-9) in the State Semifinals on Wednesday, June 17, at approximately 11:30 a.m. at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium. The game will follow the 9:00 a.m. semifinal matchup.

With a win, the Pirates will advance to the Division 2 State Championship game on Thursday, June 18, at 3:00 p.m. against the winner of the Kenosha St. Joseph Catholic vs. Waupun semifinal.

This past weekend capped off the most historic postseason run in Pewaukee Varsity Softball history!

The Pirates opened the sectional round with a 3-1 victory over Catholic Memorial before defeating Whitnall 4-2 to claim the program's first-ever Sectional Championship and punch their ticket to the WIAA State Tournament.

At Goodman Diamond in Madison, the #4 seeded Pirates stunned #1 seeded Medford with a thrilling 1-0 semifinal upset behind a complete-game shutout and an unforgettable inside-the-park home run by Harper Gould (the first State Tournament hit in program history and the 100th hit of her career!)

The magical run ultimately came to an end in the Division 2 State Championship Game against Fox Valley Lutheran, but not before these Pirates etched their names into the record books as Sectional Champions, Division 2 State Runner-Up, and a team that forever changed the standard for Pewaukee Softball.

What a season. What a team. What a legacy! Congratulations, Pirates!
