Next, as we continue recognizing the incredible retirees who have made a lasting impact on Pewaukee School District, we are honored to celebrate Pewaukee Lake Elementary Kindergarten teacher, Linda Reinowski.

For years, Linda has helped shape the very beginning of so many students’ educational journeys, creating a classroom filled with warmth, care, patience, and encouragement. The impact of a kindergarten teacher reaches far beyond academics, and Linda’s ability to make students feel safe, confident, loved, and excited to learn has left a lasting mark on countless children and families throughout our community.

PLE Principal Brian Siegel summed up Linda’s impact perfectly...

"Linda Reinowski has been an incredible influence over our youngest learners. Since I started here, she has been a leader on both the 4K and 5K teams. Her passion for education and impacting the lives of students is beyond measure. Linda always goes above and beyond to support her students and their families. PLE will not be the same without Linda, especially without hearing her infectious laugh echoing down the hallways."

As we near the end of the 2025-26 school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible individuals whose retirement marks the close of a meaningful chapter at Pewaukee School District!

We are honored to begin by recognizing our Chief Information and Technology Officer, Rachel Yurk. Rachel’s leadership, innovation, and commitment to our district have left a lasting mark on Pewaukee Schools and the broader educational community.

Superintendent Dr. Mike Cady summed up Rachel’s impact on our schools and community perfectly...

"Rachel Yurk has served with distinction as the leader of technology in our district. Rachel has been instrumental to our success as we navigated the largest of technology challenges and innovations in our history including the immediate shift to remote learning during the Covid-19 pandemic and has been a leader across the state and nation as we navigate the era of Artificial Intelligence. In a world in which technology permeates our lives, Rachel has provided leadership that ensured we had reliable and robust access to modern technology while also being the voice of reason when considering critical issues like data privacy and the impact of screen time for our youth. We wish Rachel the very best in her well deserved retirement."

Thanks to the support of our community through the 2024 referendum, the installation of 840 solar panels has been completed at Pewaukee School District! Once fully commissioned, the system is projected to generate approximately 400 kilowatts of energy and save the district nearly $70,000 annually in energy costs - benefiting students, staff, and the entire district by investing the saved operational funds into additional opportunities for students.

In addition to the long-term financial and environmental impact, the installation also creates meaningful opportunities for student learning, research, and hands-on exploration of renewable energy technology utilizing the data generated from the installation. We also couldn’t pass up the chance to capture some incredible views of our campus while checking out the new installation. Thank you, Pewaukee community, for making projects like this possible!

The Insight Program at Pewaukee High School is where passion meets purpose, and today’s Symposium event was a powerful example of that!

Students from the Aviation, Global Business, Elements of Health and Medicine, Serving Others and IMPACT strands showcased a full year of hard work, creativity, and real-world learning today.

Families, teachers, staff, and peers explored the event in a booth-style format, getting a firsthand look at each student's journey and final project. Some of the highlights included live drone demonstrations by our Aviation students and the meaningful tradition of offering guaranteed interviews with Pewaukee School District to Serving Others students who are interested in becoming future educators in our very own schools.

We are incredibly proud of our Insight students for their innovation, drive, and willingness to share their passions. A huge thank you to the dedicated teachers and mentors who supported and inspired them throughout the year! Thank you to Adriana Plach who spearheads this program and also hand picks each 1 on 1 mentor for each of our students to work with!

This is what authentic, empowered learning looks like! Way to go, Pirates!

We were so lucky to have community members visit Pewaukee Lake Elementary for 1st Grade’s first ever Career Day! Thank you to the Village of Pewaukee Police Department and others who came out!
