Colorado Springs School District 11 will bring their mobile unit to distribute lunches at East Library!🍕🍗🍪🌮

Beginning TODAY, Wed., May 28 through Fri., Aug. 1 (except for Fri., July 4). Meal service will be available 11 a.m. - noon, Monday - Friday. There will also be a basket of age-appropriate books from which kids and teens can take from. 📚📖📑

Lunches are provided at no cost to kids and teens up to age 18. Adult lunches are available for $5.

Summer Adventure is less than 10 days away! Don't forget to register starting June 2nd, unless you want to see what library staff look like when they turn into angry geese!

Okay we can't actually do that, but it would be super cool if we could. Except having feral library geese bite your ankles probably wouldn't be cool actually.... 🤔

If you're like Fawkes here and are dreading the summer heat, we've got you covered! We've got plenty of books like these to help cool you down. Who needs an ice bath when you can check out books from the library and be the coolest cat around town? (see what I did there? 😉)

You don't even have to come in to the library if you don't want to! You can look through the catalog at catalog.ppld.org, place some holds, and then pick up those holds at our handy dandy drive through window on the south side of the building.

All Pikes Peak Library District locations will be closed Mon., May 26 in observance of Memorial Day. The eLibrary and other online services and resources will still be available.

Today! Join us for the 2025 Mountain of Authors program, featuring Keynote Author Pete McBride! Our annual Mountain of Authors program provides an opportunity for readers and local authors to network and hear from notable authors, as well as learn more about the craft of writing and trends in publishing. Now that we're at the end of the school year, it's a great time to take a look at the Culture Pass offered through PPLD! Pikes Peak Culture Pass lets you explore museums and attractions in the Pikes Peak region at no cost – all you need is a library card! By collaborating with local organizations, PPLD provides free admission passes for check out, similar to how you check out an eBook or other electronic resource. The Pikes Peak Culture Pass will increase opportunities for education and cultural learning, creating increased connection between books and hands-on experiences. Learn more at

East Library will begin an elevator modernization project lasting approximately six weeks on Wed., March 12. The Library will remain open, but the 2nd floor will only have stair access.
