Today, on National Stop the Bleed Day, Pharr EMS hosted a Stop the Bleed class where participants received hands-on training in applying a tourniquet, properly packing wounds with gauze, and performing hands-only CPR.

Thank you to all of our partners and attendees for helping make these courses a success and for taking the time to learn lifesaving skills that can make a difference in an emergency!

Classes are underway for National Stop the Bleed Day as Pharr EMS hosts hands-on training focused on lifesaving emergency skills. Participants are learning how to apply a tourniquet, properly pack wounds with gauze, and perform hands-only CPR.

Pharr EMS attended yesterday’s City Commissioners Meeting to present a proclamation officially recognizing May 21, 2026, as National Stop the Bleed Day in the City of Pharr.

City leaders also took the pledge in support of lifesaving awareness and emergency preparedness as the city prepares for the upcoming Stop the Bleed and Hands-Only CPR training event at Pharr ONE. Thank you to our EMS team and community partners for continuing to empower residents with the knowledge and skills that can help save lives when every second counts.
