The Pharr Economic Development Corporation (Pharr EDC), in partnership with the UTRGV Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center (ECC) and Bob Lozano of Restro Tech, launched its Trade & Tech initiative during a Tech & Trade Session held June 22, 2026, at the Pharr Global Business Hub.

A huge thank you to F&P Group and Restro Tech for helping launch the first Tech & Trade Series at the Pharr Global Business Hub!

The session sparked an engaging conversation on how businesses can leverage technology and AI to improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences, and remain competitive in today's rapidly evolving marketplace.

One of the most important takeaways from the discussion was simple: if technology distracts you from your mission, it's probably not the right solution. Technology should make life easier, streamline operations, and free up time for what matters most, not create additional complexity.

We were also reminded not to lose sight of the human component. AI and technology should not replace people; they should enhance day-to-day operations, empower employees, strengthen customer relationships, and allow businesses to focus on higher-value work that requires human creativity, judgment, and connection.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to a successful first session. We look forward to continuing these conversations as we explore the future of technology, trade, and economic development together.

Local and regional artists are invited to submit their artwork for an opportunity to showcase their work inside the Hub, connecting with new audiences while contributing to the region’s growing creative economy.

Selected artists will be featured in a curated exhibit and recognized during a special networking event on June 30 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, featuring discussions on building a successful art business and growing your creative brand.
