Thank you to Chief Barry Glisson of Mobile Fire-Rescue for sharing his expertise during the AAFC Summer Conference.

Chief Glisson provided an outstanding update on AMAS Teams, covering funding, deployment capabilities, and the critical role these teams play in supporting communities during major incidents. He also shared valuable insights from recent Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) deployments, highlighting the professionalism, preparedness, and dedication of Alabama's responders.

As a past AAFC President and retired Fire Chief of the Scottsboro Fire Department, Gene has dedicated decades to serving Alabama’s fire service. Even in retirement, he continues to share his knowledge and experience with our members.
