🌟 Celebrating Early Childhood Education in Philadelphia! 🌟

What an honor to be invited by the Mayor of Philadelphia to attend a special celebration recognizing the importance of Early Childhood Education and the PHLpreK program! 💙📚✨

It was a wonderful opportunity to come together with community leaders, educators, and dedicated partners who share a commitment to giving our youngest learners a strong foundation for lifelong success.

We are grateful to be part of a community that recognizes the value of investing in our children, families, and the future of early childhood education! 🍎❤️

We are especially proud and honored to have been the only new preschool from Councilmember Mike Driscoll district to be awarded new seats! It was a meaningful opportunity to represent our district and the important work being done in early childhood education every day.

A special thank you to all the incredible partners who continue to support Philadelphia’s youngest learners!

Our toddlers turned simple playdough into a world of discovery! 🕷️ Using pinecones and little spider rings, they rolled, pressed, and explored the unique patterns each object left behind!
From the bumpy textures of pinecones to the tiny spider imprints, our little learners were busy using their senses, strengthening their fine motor skills, and discovering the magic of hands-on learning! 👐🏼

Chilly mornings can't slow down our little riders! 🚲🚗 Bundled up and ready to roll, our toddlers enjoyed some fresh fall air while cruising around on their favorite cars and bikes! 🥰

Our little artists have been busy bringing the beauty of fall into our classroom! From creating colorful pumpkin suncatchers that brighten up our windows ☀️ to weaving their very own spider webs using paper plates and string! 🕸️
These hands-on activities are the perfect way to celebrate the season while encouraging creativity, strengthening fine motor skills, and making learning fun! 🎃

We had a special visit from Let’s Go Outdoors, made possible through Museums To Go, funded by First Up! 🍁🐜🪲🐻🦊
Our little explorers had so much fun getting hands-on with nature! From feeling different types of animal fur to getting an up-close look at bugs through magnifying glasses, our little learners were full of curiosity and excitement!
What a fun and engaging way to explore, discover, and learn about the natural world around us! 🌎

💚 ONCE A DUMPLING, ALWAYS A DUMPLING!

Caring for your children for 47 years in NE Philadelphia!

Were you a Dumpling Grounds parent? Did you work here? Did you attend Dumpling Grounds as a child?

We’d love to hear from you!

As we prepare for our proposed expansion, we’re reaching out to the people who helped make Dumpling Grounds what it is today.

We’re asking former families, staff, and neighborhood friends to write a personal letter sharing what Dumpling Grounds has meant to them and why they support bringing additional high-quality child care and publicly funded Pre-K opportunities to Upper Holmesburg.

✉️ Letters/emails can be sent directly to our district council office and the Upper Holmesburg Civic Association. Reach out to us at [email protected] for contact info!

And if you’re still local, we’d love to see you at our November 19 community meeting!

Your memories, experiences, and support mean so much to us.

Let’s make room for the next generation of Dumplings! 🌱💚
