Philly Primary students, families, and community members came together for our annual Halloween parade through the village, and the pictures say it all! From the incredible costume creativity to the smiles and excitement, it was a wonderful reminder of what makes our small school community so special. The Philly staff dressed as Charlotte Web’s characters. We are truly fortunate to have such amazing community partners who show up and support our students! A BIG thank you to all of our local businesses and community based organizations who came out to pass out candy and treats. We also extend our appreciation to our Village Fire Department and Police Department for helping block off Main Street and keeping everyone safe. The kids are heading home with plenty of goodies, great memories, and big smiles! Wishing all of our Philly Primary families and community a wonderful, fun, and SAFE Halloween this Saturday!

Philly Primary School’s annual Curriculum Night, celebrated in conjunction with One Book, One School, was a night full of learning, laughter, and community fun! Our amazing staff brought Charlotte’s Web to life by dressing as beloved characters and creating engaging activities that showcased all aspects of learning throughout our school. Families enjoyed games, literature, fun challenges, snacks, photo booths, and even a Halloween dance party! We also provided families with books. A huge thank you to our incredible Philly staff for putting together such a memorable event for our families. Philly Primary’s Second Grade had a WILD time exploring the Rosamond Gifford Zoo yesterday! From tigers and elephants to eagles and owls, students got to see an amazing variety of animals up close, their exhibits and learn fascinating facts along the way. It was a day full of discovery, curiosity, and hands-on learning as our little learners brought their classroom studies to life! We had a HOWL-some adventure! This zoo is located in Syracuse and offers a great day for family excursions. Thank you to our Transportation Department and Mr. John for getting everyone down and back safely! Check out the photos from the gorgeous day!

Philly Primary was filled with smiles, laughter, music and wonderful memories on Friday, October 16th, as we celebrated Grandparent’s Day with our special “Rock and Roll!” theme! We welcomed our Kindergarten and First Grade families for one celebration and our Second and Third Grade families for another, making it a memorable day for everyone involved.

Our gym was transformed into a rock and roll celebration, complete with records featuring famous bands that may have brought back some musical memories for our grandparents! Students shared their enthusiasm through song, while Mr. Kelly welcomed grandparents who traveled near and far to join us.

The fun continued with coffee, flavored creamers, sweet treats and snacks, followed by a lively game of Bingo! Congratulations to our lucky winners who went home with Stewart’s gift cards!

What a wonderful turnout and a true reflection of the love and support that make our Philly Primary community so special. A HUGE thank you to all the grandparents, special family members and substitute grandparents who joined us. We are equally grateful to our Grandparent’s Day Committee and all the staff members and helpers who worked hard to make this cherished tradition such a success year after year.

At Philly Primary, we know that the bonds between generations create some of the most meaningful memories. Thank you for helping us make this day one to remember!
