We’re grateful to see our Public Safety Awareness Community Event featured by FOX 29 ! 💙💗

Yesterday, families, community members, law enforcement, and local leaders came together at the John F. Street Community Center for an afternoon of connection, resources, safety education, and fun. From school supplies and giveaways to CPR education and opportunities for families to connect with police in a positive setting, the day was all about bringing our community together.

As Dr. Dorothy Johnson-Speight shared, “We have to all come together and work together to address the issue of safety in our communities.”

Thank you to FOX 29 for highlighting the work happening in our community and to every partner, volunteer, family, and neighbor who showed up. Together, we can build safer communities.

This week, The Robert Blair Reentry Department participated in ORAS (Ohio Risk Assessment System) training—strengthening our knowledge and tools to better support returning citizens on their reentry journey.

Investing in our team means investing in the people and communities we serve. We’re committed to building a stronger, more informed approach to reentry and creating pathways to successful second chances.

Join us for a Back-to-School Book Bag Giveaway & Cookout filled with food, games, fellowship, free haircuts, and school supplies for the children.

Yesterday, our Hearts of Gold Grief Support Group gathered for a special Healing Hearts: A Mindfulness Journey for Grieving Mothers workshop.

Together, we created space to pause, breathe, reflect, and honor the love that remains. Through mindfulness, connection, and shared experiences, grieving mothers were reminded that healing isn’t about forgetting—it’s about finding moments of peace while carrying love forward.

A special thank you to our workshop facilitator, Bernard Weeks, for leading such a thoughtful and restorative experience. Your guidance helped create a space for reflection, healing, and hope.
