Thanks so much to 6abc Action News and FYI Philly for sharing all Christ Church has to offer!

Benjamin Franklin's grave has long drawn penny-tossing tourists, but beyond the walls of Christ Church Burial Ground at 5th and Arch Streets, you'll find nearly 4,000 people buried here, including five signers of the Declaration of Independence.

Entry to Christ Church is FREE today, June 23 from 11am - 5pm.

Take our self-guided tour to explore the historic sanctuary at your own pace. To help you navigate the rich history of the building, detailed guide maps are available for purchase on-site for $1. While you explore, our knowledgeable staff are stationed throughout the site. Please feel free to approach them—they are happy to answer questions or share deeper stories about the church’s 300-year history. Just across the street from the church, make sure to visit the Christ Church Neighborhood House. This exhibit offers a fascinating look at how the church community navigated the revolutionary fervor and the birth of the United States.

Join us for a fascinating conversation with historian and author John Fea as he explores one of the most enduring questions in American history. Drawing from his book *Was America Founded as a Christian Nation?: A Historical Introduction*, Fea looks beyond modern political debates to examine what the historical record actually tells us.

Rather than taking sides, this discussion invites audiences to explore the complex intersections of religion, democracy, history, and national identity through primary sources and scholarship. Dr. David Krueger of Temple University's Dialogue Institute will facilitate the conversation.

Much of the structure of the pews at Christ Church are original, or wood replacement from the 1800s. As you can imagine, that requires maintenance and upkeep!
