Thank you to Live Casino & Hotel Philadelphia for their ongoing generosity and partnership. Their team packed 250 backpacks with essential school supplies—pencil cases, folders, glue sticks, tissues, erasers, pencils, and sharpeners. These backpacks will be distributed to families in JEVS' The Choice is Yours (TCY), WorkReady, and PA CareerLink® Suburban Station programs. Volunteers also included handwritten notes in each backpack, sending encouragement for the upcoming school year. Together, we’re making the first day a little brighter for local students.

Spotlight on Tess A., 2026 Franklin C. Ash Summer Intern at HIAS Pennsylvania. Through her internship, Tess contributed to providing legal services for immigrants and refugees in the Philadelphia area. We’re grateful for her commitment and for the partnership that allows JEVS Human Services interns to gain hands-on experience while supporting vital community work.
