Today is the day for our 3rd Annual Autism 365 Resource Fair. We are so excited for the event. We already have over 18 organizations here at Wynnefield Library. We also have an added bonus of Face Painting right outside in front of the library for all kids to enjoy. The event will be from 12 to 6! I've been told that the Face Painters are leaving at 4 pm, so hurry and get wonderful resources and have a great time!

We have additional organizations that have signed up to be at our 3rd Annual Autism 365 Resource Fair on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 12 to 6 pm. We will have over 21 different organizations that will be here to give you important information for you and your families. Please come out and receive this valuable information and gain knowledge of the many resources that are available throughout the Philadelphia community.

On Thursday, July 11, we had the pleasure of having our very own President of the Free Library, Kelly Richards participate in our Summer Storytime. He read two books, Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do You See? by Bill Martin, and I'm Going to Like Me: Letting Off a Little Self-esteem, by Jamie Lee Curtis. Everyone had fun interacting with the flannel board, musical instruments, singing songs with Ms. Susan as Mr. Nick played the guitar. Summer Storytimes continue on Thursdays at 10:30 through August.

July has been a month filled with wonderful programming. We started our Science in the Summer programs on July 10, hosting one each Wednesday at 2 pm. There is one left in July for children going in grades 2-6. On Wednesday, July 31st, we will be Rocket Engineers! Come out and enjoy the fun. Students who participate will receive free general admission to the Franklin Institute. We will have one more Science in the Summer program on August 7, at 2pm. We will all become Spacesuit Designers. Hope to see you there!

We are so excited for our month-long Wynnefield Library 60th Anniversary Celebration beginning with our Summer Reading Kick-Off Party tomorrow, June 4th, from 12-6pm!
Tomorrow's line up includes:
Crafts, games, puzzles at 12 pm
The Center for Aquatic Sciences, "Crazy Coverings" at 2pm,
Jane Lashner Face Painting and Balloon Twisting from 3:30- 5:30pm, The Bearded Ladies production of "Check it Out" at 4 pm.

We will serve Hot dogs, pretzels, water ice and water at 3 pm until it runs out!!
