Philly Families! This year we are hoping to get lots of participation in our first ever year of STEM Challenges. The challenges are not required and must be completed at home. Students will need to complete the challenge based on the requirements for their grade band. If your student wants to participate and you can't provide the necessary items in their plan, please email a list of items and their uses so Mrs. Davis can get those to your child. [email protected] Projects can be brought in the Monday before the due date and on the due date. We don't have enough space to store all the projects for longer than a couple of days. Judges will come in the same week they are due. Your student might be pulled from class to come demonstrate or explain their project if needed. ***Please make a tag for your student to adhere to the project so that we know NAME, GRADE, and HOMEROOM TEACHER for each participant.*** We can't wait to see what all is created!!

Today, for Motivational Monday in our morning CTE classes, we had the best to kick off our series. Red Waller spoke to our 7th and 8th graders. He asked the simple, but yet so complex question of "Why Not?" Students, set those goals! Try something new, believe you can and take that first step.

Don’t forget, Warrior families, tomorrow is the battle of the bridge! That means, the food drive will end tomorrow as well. If you were bringing food items, those must be at PES by 9 AM. If you are donating money, you can do so through the QR code on the graphic, or come by the school before nine and make the donations in the office. Our community is so grateful of all of your support and it goes to show what you can do when you work together for a common cause. Go Redskins!

It is a huge week for our community! The Battle of the Bridge is not only an amazing football game, it's a week that leads to providing a large amount of food to those in our community that are in need for nearly the entire year. As always, 100% of our donations will go to support our Redskins.

Please see the attached image to find methods of donation, timelines, etc. There will be a pizza party provided for the winning home room. However, the real winner is our community. Thank you to the Good Samaritan Center and all they do. Warriors, you know what to do, LEAD THE WAY!

We have ONE WEEK to reach our goal! 🎉 Friday, August 28th, we’re heading to Philadelphia Elementary School! 💙💜💛

With the incredible support & generosity of our community, we have 14 drinks sponsored for the teachers and staff so far.

Our goal is to serve the 95 teachers and staff members of Philadelphia Elementary for free with the help from our community. 81 more to go!

This time, we are giving ourselves a little more time to spread the word because we never expected the incredible flow of messages and support we received for our last school-sponsored event. You all absolutely blew us away!

If you’d like to sponsor a teacher or staff member, send us a message for details. Donations can be made through Venmo, Cash App, or by giving us a call.

✨ A little something special: All sponsors will be listed by name at our window on the day of the event so the teachers and staff can see the incredible people who helped make this possible!

Also, if you’d like to sponsor a specific teacher or staff member, you can also send us a sweet note for them! We’ll handwrite your message on a thank-you card and send it along with their beverage. 💌☕️ It’s a sweet way to remind them just how appreciated they are!

LAUNCH begins on Monday! Please let your child and their homeroom teacher know if they are staying. Remember LAUNCH is Monday through Thursday. Pickup is the same as last year. All students receive a snack during LAUNCH. If you have questions please email Angela Bright-White [email protected]
