Child Advocates and Community Legal Services are co-sponsoring "Introduction to Motivational Interviewing: Communication Strategies to Support Ethical Practice" at Philadelphia Family Court on November 17th and December 3rd. Participants will understand and practice how to use Motivational Interviewing techniques to support clients' motivations to change and cope with challenges. MI is an evidence-based strategy for representing and working with child welfare system-involved clients, but this series is open and beneficial to attorneys and other professionals working in other settings as well.
