Be sure your vehicle is locked before heading off to bed. A simple click of the lock button on the remote will do the trick.

Make sure your home and garage doors are locked. Garage doors can often provide an easy entrance to a house.

REPORT THAT CRIME!

Have you been a victim of a crime? Maybe someone broke into your vehicle. Maybe someone stole your lawn furniture. The most important thing you can do is promptly call police by dialing 9-1-1. Knowing where crime has occurred is an important asset in allocating manpower. In many instances, prints can be lifted if the crime is reported promptly. Please don't hesitate to call. The police really want to respond to your complaint.

Our officers continue to crack down on aggressive driving in the 7th District. During the period of 9/15/26 to 10/18/26, our 7th District officers made 688 car stops and seized 16 vehicles under the Live Stop program. Remember, these numbers do not include stops made by special units such as Highway, Traffic and the Car Meet Detail. Please drive safely and avoid a costly tickets as well as increase in your car insurance premium.

Q: What is a PSA (Police Service Area)?

A: A Police Service Area (PSA) is a geographical zone within a police District. Each zone is covered by a group of officers who are regularly assigned to that zone, making them more familiar with the issues within the zone. Each zone is also overseen by a lieutenant who works with the patrol officers to combat the problems within the zone. Each lieutenant holds a monthly public meeting to address the crime and quality of life issues within the zone.
