save time, effort, and money. These types of support include: accounting, legal support, writing expertise, public relations, strategic planning, printing, budgeting, fundraising, and advertising. Also, we need the community's support to sustain our organization. Your donations keep our services available to you. We are always seeking in-kind support, such as materials, services, and equipment. If you would like to help us in any way, give us a call today. We are always here to serve you, and again, we are always ready to assist you in times of an emergency crisis. We are your partners in making our community a better place. The easiest way to join our department is to stop by our firehouse and ask for a membership application. Our members will be glad to answer any questions you may have or show you our equipment. Since our department is 100 percent volunteer, our firehouse may not be staffed at all times. The best time to stop at the firehouse would be about 7:00 pm on the second and fourth Mondays of every month. These are the dates for our fire company meetings. Feel free to drop by and introduce yourself.

This morning at 5:18 the Phillipsburg Fire Department was dispatched to a Vehicle Accident with Unknown Injuries on the 1800 Blk Port Matilda Hwy (US Route 322) in Rush Township, Centre County, in the area of Belding & Mull. Moshannon Valley EMS units were the first to arrive finding an SUV into the rear of a tractor trailer, blocking the Westbound lane US 322. Chief 57-2 (Petro) and Rescue 57 arrived next finding the operator was self extricated and denied any significant injuries. Units are still on scene with PSP awaiting the tow. The Westbound lane will remain closed until the vehicles are removed. Fire Police are on scene conducting traffic control in the opened eastbound lane. Minor delays are likely during the morning rush hour until the roadway is able to be opened completely.
