It's time for the annual Kroj Passport Competition! Pick up a passport at Phillips Public Library or any of the businesses noted below and learn a little bit more about the unique kroj (national folk costume) from around the Czech and Slovak Republics. Turn in your passports for a chance to win a gift basket at the annual Czech Festival the 3rd weekend in June. Pictured below is the kroj display at the Phillips Library.

We have on display a sampling of Arthur Mole's (a British-born, naturalized American commercial photographer) "living photographs" made during World War I, in which tens of thousands of soldiers, reservists and other members of the military were arranged to form massive compositions.
