Alert Hook & Ladder Co. 1 'Phillipsburg Fire'

Yesterday was a bittersweet chapter for The Phillipsburg Fire Department and for The Alert Hook & Ladder Co. 1 'Phillipsburg Fire'.
After 56 years of fire service, Batalion Chief John Lefter retired.
Between being an Instructor at the Warren County Fire Academy and his years of service to The Phillipsburg Fire Department, his knowledge and instruction has been passed on to generations of fire fighters.
He has held many titles through his years of service, but for The Hook, he will always be "Poppy".
Congratulations John!! You deserved all the awards yesterday!
Thank you for all you have done!
