I Heard Medicaid Pays for Assisted Living. That’s Not the Full Story.
Many people misunderstand how Medicaid works in NJ & PA.

❌ PA Medicaid does NOT pay for assisted living, only nursing homes & some in-home care.
❌ NJ Medicaid CAN help with assisted living, but you have to qualify financially and find a community that accepts it.
❌ Most facilities require private pay first before accepting Medicaid residents.

Before assuming Medicaid will cover care, get the facts and start planning.
