Do you know any teens who might need a skill refresh or reminders around coping during tough times? Old Mill Center for Children and Families, Benton County Mental Health, and the Friends of the Corvallis-Benton County Library are working together to offer some supportive workshops, free of charge.

The workshops are meant for youth education and support; the instructor is not acting in a clinical capacity. There is no cost for the workshops.

At each virtual workshop, teens will explore different aspects of the topic (anxiety or emotions), learn various coping skills, and have a safe space to share about their experience.

All workshops will be moderated by a therapist with either Benton
County Mental Health (Anxiety) or the Old Mill Center (Handling Emotions).

To learn more about dates, times, and registration- see the flyer below.

OSU Extension Service: Benton County

Benton County is hosting face covering distribution events at nine locations throughout Benton County this Saturday, August 22, 9am-12pm. Each site will primarily distribute KN95 face coverings. Limited amounts of child-size face coverings, face shields, and FDA-approved hand sanitizer will be available as well. This will not be a COVID-19 testing event.

At the drive-thru locations, community members will follow signs directing traffic into a parking lot. From there, they will interact with volunteers to order and receive their face coverings and other supplies before leaving the parking lot. Multilingual signs with instructions will be posted at the event.

Supplies have been stored properly in accordance with health and safety standards. Volunteers at the distribution sites will be wearing face coverings and gloves. Community members attending the distribution event are asked to wear a face covering if they have one. We urge community members to stay home if they are feeling unwell, experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, or have recently had a COVID-19 test.
Supplies will also be available at Monroe City Hall the week of August 24-28 between 8:00am to 5:00pm by walk up.

Hey families if you are looking for an adventure this summer come join me at the Family Forest Fest this summer. This is a 3 day , 2 night campout festival with I put on faturing music from Red Yarn and all kinds of activities all focused on little kids. It's on a 100 acre farm in Alsea. I am sharing here because we have had parents come with babies as young as 3 weeks old! Find more details here www.familyforestfest.com and use FFFLOVE10 for a discount on tickets. There is also farm to table catering with veggies from the Leaping Lamb Farm which is where the event takes place! Hope to see some of you.
I have completed both the online course and train the trainer but I am struggling to find the login for the train the trainer resources that we use to teach the parenting class. Would it be possible to provide me with the link
