Although Governor Hobbs declared May as Mental Health Awareness Month in Arizona, supporting mental health isn’t limited to one month—this work continues year-round. 💚

Supporting mental health is a 365-day commitment, and we’re all in, working year-round to connect Arizonans to care, reduce stigma, and support whole-person health.

While May shines a spotlight on the importance of mental health, our focus never fades. Help is always available, and no one has to navigate challenges alone: https://www.azahcccs.gov/BehavioralHealth/crisis.html

Proud to have AHCCCS’ Marcus Johnson and Josue Macias representing at the Arizona Center for Rural Health's 52nd Annual Arizona Rural Health Conference in Flagstaff on June 2, a key gathering focused on advancing health outcomes and supporting rural communities.

During their session, they will share insights on emerging Medicaid provisions under H.R. 1, how Arizona is preparing for these changes, and the role of the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) in strengthening rural health systems across the state.

We’re grateful for their leadership and for the opportunity to be part of these important conversations.

Arizona continues to strengthen its Medicaid program through a focus on innovation and accountability. Governor Katie Hobbs recently highlighted Arizona’s national leadership in addressing fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA), including the upcoming launch of a first‑of‑its‑kind AI‑informed prepayment review system through AHCCCS.

Powered by Alivia 360, an advanced analytics platform from HealthTech Solutions in partnership with Alivia Analytics, this approach helps detect potential issues before payments are issued, while ensuring timely processing for compliant providers.

These efforts reflect a continued commitment to protecting program integrity and serving AHCCCS members and Arizona communities.
