IT'S DONE. We filed!

MAJJK Heart Family Foundation officially submitted our IRS Form 1023 this week. That's the application for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. And yes, it feels exactly as good as it sounds.

For anyone who doesn't know what that means: every dollar donated to MAJJK is now tax-deductible, retroactive to the date we filed. That's real money back in the pockets of people who show up for CHD families.

We built this from scratch, with no template, no blueprint. Just a reason that doesn't let you quit and a community of people who get it. This foundation was created for the families who have been living in the CVICU for weeks, sometimes months, with no end date in sight. For the caregivers trying to hold it together. For the siblings trying to understand what's happening to someone they love.

We've got a fall fundraising hike in the works and we are excited to share it with you soon! 🏔️❤️
