More than a fashion show, Threads of Service celebrated the people and stories behind military service.

The Office for Veteran and Military Academic Engagement was honored to be part of Threads of Service, celebrating the stories of veterans through fashion, history and connection. We were proud to share military artifacts and memorabilia from our collection and hear Retired Col. Wanda A. Wright, the inaugural holder of the Peter M. and Michelle H. Wilver Directorship in the Office for Veteran and Military Academic Engagement and an assistant teaching professor in ASU’s College of Integrative Sciences and Arts, speak on the lasting impact of service, leadership and education.

Seeing veterans take the runway alongside student-created designs made from donated military uniforms was a powerful reminder that every story of service leaves a lasting legacy. Thank you to everyone who helped make this special evening possible.
