Accessibility is a right—not a privilege.

The ADA was a milestone, but the fight for Disability Justice continues. This framework goes beyond accommodations—it demands the transformation of systems that perpetuate exclusion. Like Reproductive Justice, Disability Justice centers bodily autonomy, community care, and the right of every person to live with dignity, regardless of ability.

Last week, the U.S. House of Representatives voted for a budget reconciliation bill that would “defund” Planned Parenthood.

To be absolutely clear: Planned Parenthood Arizona health centers doors are OPEN, will remain OPEN, and health services will continue without interruption.

Planned Parenthood Arizona is a trusted provider of essential sexual and reproductive health care — including birth control, cancer screenings, and STI testing and treatment — services that many patients access through Medicaid. No other health care provider can fully replace the critical care Planned Parenthood delivers.

📞 Starting July 17, the 988 “Press 3” LGBTQ+ option is being removed.
This dedicated lifeline has been a compassionate beacon for more than 1.3 million LGBTQ+ youth in crisis.

At Prisma, we know losing specialized attention has consequences. But we also believe in the power of community and creativity to fill these spaces.

🌈 Here’s our hopeful plan:
1️⃣ Team up with community-based organizations to expand mental health support
2️⃣ Boost peer-led & affirming hotlines like The Trevor Project and Trans Lifeline
3️⃣ Amplify voices demanding that lawmakers protect these essential services
