Arizona's Winged Victory was modeled after the Greek goddess Nike, who was the goddess of victory. Nike was sometimes referred to as “Winged Victory,” such as in the case of the famous ancient statue Winged Victory of Samothrace. Arizona's statue is also a weathervane and holds a torch in her right hand and a wreath in her left hand.

We have exciting new updates in store for the Capitol Museum tour path! Visitors can expect some spaces to be closed on the 2nd and 3rd floors throughout the month of June. We will remain open during our regular hours of Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
