Advocacy in action. Staff from the Office of Congressman Abraham Hamadeh met with AIB leadership to learn more about our mission of supporting the warfighter while creating meaningful employment opportunities for Americans who are blind across the state.
As a result of these conversations, Congressman Hamadeh committed to cosponsoring H.R. 1175, the Blind Americans Return to Work Act. We thank the Congressman for taking this important step toward expanding opportunities and advancing workforce participation for Americans who are blind.

Last week, we joined nearly 100 enterprise nonprofit agencies from across the United States for Advocacy Day in Washington D.C., sharing powerful stories of independence and financial stability made possible through competitive employment.
Together, we highlighted how meaningful employment transforms lives , creating opportunity, dignity, and long-term economic impact for individuals with disabilities, their families and communities.
A special thank you to Chris LaFollette, Larry Mann and David Steinmetz for representing our team members across the State, meeting with nine Members of Congress including Rep. Juan Ciscomaniuan and Rep. Adelita Grijalva to advance policies that support workforce inclusion and expand opportunities for people with disabilities.

Thank you, David Steinmetz for showing up, speaking up and advocating for those who are still waiting on the sidelines.
