Picture Day is coming to Moon Mountain School on 9-11-2026!

You can order online at MyDorian.com, search for Moon Mountain, and click the green ORDER button or yellow HELP button associated with our picture day.
Pre-order your photos today! Online pre-ordering is available now and for up to two days after Picture Day.

Here are some helpful hints when getting ready for Picture Day:
✂️ Schedule a haircut for your child about 10 days before Picture Day.
👕 Solid color and simple patterns photograph best.
⭐ Avoid logos and text - they can distract from a student's smile and may be cropped in the final image.

🐾 HAVE YOU HEARD YOUR CHILD SAYING SOMETHING ABOUT GOLD PAWS AT SCHOOL? We’re doing something new this year at Moon Mountain!🐾

Our new Gold Paw program recognizes entire classrooms that work together to model respectful, responsible, mindful, and kind behavior. Any staff member may award a Gold Paw to a class who is demonstrating our expectations. When a class earns 25 Gold Paws, they celebrate together with a classroom reward. Homeroom classes can earn automatic Gold Paws by:
• Daily Gold Paw for no tardies.
• Daily Gold Paw for no absences.
• Daily Gold Paw for ALL students having their ID at lunch.

We've already seen many students working as a team to earn Gold Paws for their classes, especially during hallway transitions. Keep up the great work, Coyotes!

Volunteer support is essential to the success of Moon Mountain's events throughout the school year.

Volunteers are needed for:
⭐Assisting in Classrooms (Please consult your child's teacher regarding specific classroom volunteer needs.)
⭐Picture Day and Picture Retake Day
⭐Hearing & Vision Screenings
⭐Kona Ice Days
⭐Field Trip Chaperones

Interested in Volunteering?
Complete these steps in order to volunteer:
1. Read and Review the Volunteer Handbook
2. View and review the Volunteer Training Slideshow
3. Complete the Volunteer Application

If you are a parent or legal guardian of a child in WESD and will only be volunteering at their school, contact schools within one week to get the confirmation to start volunteering.

If you are not a parent or legal guardian of a child at WESD you will need to be cleared by Human Resources in order to start volunteering.

Please remember that tomorrow (Wednesday, 8/12) is our first EARLY RELEASE DAY! We have early dismissal each Wednesday so teachers can attend professional development meetings. Please make sure you have arrangements in place for your child!

Hello Coyote Families!

We hope everyone is enjoying the last few weeks of their summer break. We are excitedly preparing to welcome our students back for another awesome school year!

Below is a list of donation requests organized by grade-level. You may notice this list is simpler than the supply lists we've provided in years past. It is our hope that families being able to focus on a few selected items will ease even a little bit of
stress. You will notice all grade levels are requesting that each student bring a pair of personal headphones/earbuds with an aux cord. These are used frequently in the classroom and are a huge help.

If there are other items you'd like to donate that are not listed, please reach out to your child's teacher. We thank you for your support! As a reminder, please make sure that your child's name is on all personal items (e.g., water bottles, backpacks, etc.)
