💼 What could a $20 federal minimum wage mean for Arizona’s workforce and economy?

Mike Huckins, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs and IT Operations at the Greater Phoenix Chamber, spoke with The Center Square Washington about U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego’s proposal to gradually raise the federal minimum wage to $20 an hour by 2030.

Huckins shared the Chamber’s perspective on supporting workers while preserving entry-level opportunities, highlighting the role of workforce skills, housing, and childcare in helping Arizonans advance their careers.

🤝 Turning professional connections into meaningful community impact.​

ATHENA Young Professional finalist Rachelle Giles is Vice President of Local Government Relations and Association Management at Goodman Schwartz Public Affairs. Originally from North Dakota and a graduate of North Dakota State University, she began her career in the office of Senator John Hoeven. Her experience also includes U.S. Senate, presidential and congressional campaigns, and service in the office of Phoenix Councilwoman Thelda Williams. Rachelle joined Goodman Schwartz in 2013 and remains active in community leadership through the Greater Phoenix Chamber’s Phoenix Valley Young Professionals Board, Kappa Alpha Theta, mentorship of emerging professionals, and volunteer work with local animal rescues.​

We had a great time celebrating Oktoberfest at our latest After 5 Mixer at Pedal Haus Brewery in Downtown Phoenix. From seasonal brews and festive bites to meaningful conversations with professionals from across the Valley, the evening was a great
opportunity to connect, build relationships and unwind after work.​

Flerish is a supporting location of Civitan Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit that has provided services for people with disabilities across the spectrum of needs since 1968.

At this month’s Professional Women’s Alliance luncheon, Cristi shared how women can approach AI with confidence and curiosity while keeping the human elements of leadership at the center.

The conversation encouraged attendees to:
