šŸ’¬ A conversation with Arizona Senator Mark Kelly on ensuring care.

Arizona Community Health Centers are committed to meeting the needs of their communities and ensuring care is accessible to everyone by helping patients navigate healthcare coverage.

"Everybody needs access regardless. And when there isn't, for example, accessible Medicaid coverage, those people that are uninsured are still going to need care and who is going to pay for that." - Jessica Yanow, AACHC President & CEO

Every month, more than 150 bags with fentanyl testing kits are distributed to Arizona Community Health Centers.

Assembled and lead by AACHC staff members Leah Meyers, Director of Integrated Services, and Lorraine Ramirez, Special Projects Manager, the kits are distributed in Maricopa County as part of a public health grant to Community Health Centers, including Adelante Healthcare, Circle the City, Mountain Park Health Center, Native Health Phoenix, Terros Health, and Valle del Sol.

At each of these Community Health Centers, public health vending machines provide free life-saving supplies. Community members can receive naloxone nasal spray, fentanyl and xylazine test strips, and other supplies.

In addition to helping prevent opioid overdoses, Community Health Centers provide preventative and primary care services to their communities each day. To find a CHC near you, visit our website at AACHC.org.

Rooted in community, growing stronger together—these values guided the theme of Adelante’s second annual luncheon.

The afternoon brought together health center leaders, partners, and organizations committed to expanding access to care across Arizona. AACHC is proud to stand alongside Arizona’s 24 Community Health Centers, and we were grateful to attend this special event hosted by one of Arizona’s own health centers.

Thank you, Adelante Healthcare, for creating an inspiring afternoon that celebrated the vital work of Community Health Centers. Every day, health center workers step up to connect Arizonans with healthcare coverage, preventive services, and the resources they need to thrive.

Congratulations to our partners at Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation on receiving the Legacy of Care Award, highlighting their steadfast commitment to Arizona's Community Health Centers and their mission to advance community health, equity, and innovation.

Today marks the last day of National Community Health Worker Awareness Week.

Arizona's Community Health Centers are guided each day by the workers who create access to health services and help Arizonans navigate complex systems, providing whole-person care to every individual who talks through their health center's doors.

Please join AACHC and thank a Community Health Center worker this week. Their dedication to bridging gaps in care, advocating for health equity, and lowering healthcare cost changes lives every day.
