University of Arizona's Roosevelt Early Childhood Family Resource Center Roosevelt Early Childhood Family Resource Center, a program of University of Arizona, Maricopa County Cooperative Extension.

Ready, Set, Grow --- A center where families and children bloom. Programs Offered:

•The “Baby Care” workshops offer sessions on Pregnancy to Baby Interactions

•The “Play and Learn with your Kids” offer classes on interacting with your child from 4 months to 5 years old

•The “Support Groups” offer individuals with an interactive opportunity to share and support one another

•The “ACT II” (Arizo

na Community Training) class is for parents to learn Leadership skills

•“Learn and Read” classes for children entering Kindergarten in Fall 2013

•“PIPE” (Partners in Parenting Education) for Mothers with children ages 11-19 months

•“Summer Story Time” offers story time for families with a fun filled art project. Also, here at the family resource center if you need help in applying for or renewing AHCCCS Health Insurance, SNAP (food stamps), or TANF (cash assistance) every Friday (except holidays) from 9 am to 1 pm you are welcome. Domestic violence does not discriminate. It can affect anyone, regardless of race, age, gender, or background.

Join us as we educate, raise awareness, empower our community, and provide resources that may help someone recognize the signs and find a path to safety.

Your knowledge could be the reason someone speaks up. Your awareness could help someone seek help. Together, we may be able to save a life.

Project Connect on September 24 from 8 AM to 3 PM at Avondale Baptist Church in Avondale, Arizona.
