From the Arizona Game and Fish Director:

In Celebration of National Volunteer Week:

The Arizona Game and Fish Department is thankful for your dedication. So many of you braved unprecedented challenges during the past year. We appreciate your patience and willingness to adapt to dynamic conditions.

Volunteers enthusiastically donated their time and skills in support of our mission to conserve and protect wildlife. Your generosity and support is inspiring. Volunteers contributed over 50,000 hours of effort to Department operations. We are grateful for your passion and commitment to our work even during this uncertain and difficult year.

We appreciate those who are eagerly waiting to help as we reactivate paused programs. We look forward to working alongside you in the near future at both current and exciting new volunteer opportunities.

Thank you volunteers!

Recommendation for board members in running your nonprofit. SCORE has a group called the Non-Profit Leaders Forum. We meet monthly and discuss challenges, share wisdom and resources. Each meeting we leave with a 'Next Step' item which we hold each other accounatble for in the next meeting. In the last few months by-laws have been updated, executive directors hired, operating plans developed, processes and procedures streamlined, membership and donations increased and new volunteers attracted. If you would like to join in on a meeting please message.
